The most common 1099 mistake we see
January 17, 2018Marketing ideas for owners
June 20, 2018January is traditionally a time to reflect on the previous year. We renew our resolves for healthier, balanced lives; a time to set lofty goals for the new year. In true January spirit, here’s something that’s helping me achieve my big goals this year.
I bought a book last year called The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod, after a good friend recommended I pick it up. While I was already knee-deep in a self-improvement binge, I obliged. The book was an extremely quick read, even quicker if you skip through the pages of glowing reviews and success stories. (But don’t skip those because some of them are pretty inspiring.)
I spent three solid months following the proposed plan. Hal developed what he calls SAVERS after some pretty incredibly humbling tragedies caused him to rethink his outlook on life. I coupled his SAVERS plan with a healthier eating strategy and my results were almost immediate. During the first week, I was happier and got more accomplished. By the fourth week, my husband had started asking what I was doing.
My results were noticeable by not just my friends and family, but clients were making comments on the changes they were seeing in me as well. I gladly sent 30 lbs of excess weight packing. I cleared out the clutter from my home and my brain. Additionally, I gained a much needed new perspective on several things. My results were amazing! I took a small break over the holidays, but I’m back at it full force. I re-read the book this month and have recommitted myself to my ‘Miracle Morning’. It hasn’t taken long, and I’m back to killing my daily task list and making new connections with my husband and kids.
The author’s easy-to-remember system is portable, flexible, and absolutely doable. His system doesn’t just tell you to get up earlier every morning. He shows the value in participating in every step. His system has blessed my life immensely. My favorite quote from the book: ‘The degree to which you accept responsibility for EVERYTHING in your life is precisely the degree of personal power you have to change everything in your life’. If you’re looking for some new inspiration that will last throughout the usual January burnout at the gym, look no further.
